Lindsay Lohan Rehab: Star Gives Up Adderall, Plans to Hide Out After Rehab

Lindsay Lohan has had her ups and downs while in rehab but is currently drug-free, according to sources. The actress finally gave up her prescription to Adderall but is "terrified" of relapsing.

Lohan had taken Adderall, which is normally prescribed for those with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), for years. After entering court-mandated treatment for addiction, Lohan reportedly refused to give up the medication, stating that she definitely needed it.

Now, at her second rehab facility in 90 days, Lohan has gone without the drug and is feeling fine. According to sources, Lohan told friends that she had been diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed the medication at a young age; now, though, she believes she was misdiagnosed, and doctors seem to agree.

Adderall is frequently used to maintain a low weight, especially among those in the entertainment industry. Lohan is not the first high-profile celebrity to struggle with addiction to the drug; Brooke Mueller is also currently in treatment for addiction. Now that Lohan has given up the medication, many wonder if she has put on weight or if her appearance has been altered.

In another report, Lohan is apparently "terrified" of relapsing and is willing to do whatever it takes to stay sober, even if it means leaving cities like New York and L.A. to live a quieter life. She is due to be released from rehab in August, and many have speculated that she will immediately go off the grid in order to adjust to her new lifestyle and avoid temptation.

The actress has been in the public eye since she was 3-years-old, and living a life in seclusion may be a dramatic change for her. Then again, some time away may just be what she needs as she learns to cope with her new drug-and-alcohol-free life. There has been no speculation about where Lohan may reside after rehab, but if she truly wants to remain off the radar, there are plenty of places and opportunities.
