'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' Star Yung Berg Arrested for Domestic Assault

Hip-hop artist Yung Berg was taken into custody Wednesday after an alleged domestic assault, according to reports.

The rapper, who is currently appearing on VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood," was said to be charged with "criminal obstruction of breathing," according to ABC News.

The website further detailed that authorities were called in a Manhattan hotel around 2:15 a.m. of Nov. 5, where, as the police reports said, he was seen in a drunken rage and hurting his girlfriend.

In a separate report by TMZ, it was found out that Yung's girlfriend, Masika Tucker, was "grabbed by her neck, punched in the face, thrown to the ground, and was dragged by her hair outside the room."

Sources close to the publication was pointed out saying that after a "booze-filled night" at a "Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood" reunion show in NYC, Berg proceeded to pay his bill, but his card was over the limit.

The 30-year-old "Hitmaka" stormed out of the vicinity and headed to his hotel room where Tucker followed.

The girl told her partner that the bill was already paid for and "schooled him for leaving her," which allegedly aggravated Berg, according to MTV news.

Born Christian Ward, the songwriter and producer is due to face the court within this week to face the charges.

However, Tucker "is already jumping to Yung's defense," saying to the press that his actions that night was "totally out of character for him" and that alcohol is to be blamed.
