Mama Elephant Rescues Calf From Dangerous Mud Pit - Nature Drama With a Happy Ending (VIDEO)

This elephant calf hasn't been around for too long, but it knows it's in trouble. The baby is wading through a muddy waterhole when it realizes it can't climb out. The calf's panicked screams tell the tale.

As the herd looks on, the mother wraps her trunk around her calf and attempts to hoist it out of the mud. It takes a few tries, but we all breathe a sigh of relief to see the baby elephant back on solid ground.
