Man Who Shot Teen in Head Tried to 'Scare' Them Off Property, Not Kill

The man responsible for firing a shot that killed 15-year-old Adrian Broadway after an alleged prank has spoken out to tell his side of the story. Willie Noble, 48, fired several shots at the carful of teens after they vandalized one of his cars with eggs and mayonnaise and claims that he did so in order to "scare" them away from his property.

The teens left the mixture of eggs, mayonnaise and leaves on one of the cars, then left. Instead of calling police to report the vandalism, Noble went inside to wait for them to return.

"Mr. Noble stated that once they returned (45 minutes later), he fired his handgun to scare them," a statement released by police explained. "Apparently Mr. Noble's teenage son had done a prank on some of the kids that were inside the vehicle on Halloween night. As a result, they were doing a retaliation prank and it ultimately had deadly results," Lieutenant Sidney Allen said.
