Manny Pacquiao Next Fight: Adrien Broner Added To List Of Possible Opponent's For 'Pacman's Final Fight

Four-division world champion Adrien Broner is also being targeted as Manny Pacquiao's potential final opponent for April 2016.

"Pacman's" camp had previously announced that they are looking at three possible names. Per Top Rank chief Bob Arum, Pacquiao's former sparring partner Amir Khan, undefeated WBO light welterweight champion Terence Crawford, and WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley comprise the short list of the first and only eight division world champion's next posisble opponents.

Broner's name suddenly joined the mix, when the boxer himself brought up the idea of the potential match-up.

"I hear they want me to fight Pacquiao next. Michael Koncz actually called me," Broner said in a report by Philippine media outlet GMA News.

According to a separate report by BoxingScene, Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz admitted to getting in touch with "The Problem" and his camp for the possible fight. Koncz, however, added that Broner's immediate reaction of making the possible match-up public was something that should not have happened.

"I wish Adrien would not have made the comments he did to the media prematurely," Koncz said in the BoxingScene report.

The 26-year-old boxer, who is also known as Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s "little brother," is slated to defend his WBA light welterweight title in 2016 against Ashley Theophane, who is part of Mayweather's 'Money Team.'

In another report by Edward Chaykovsky of BoxingScene, Broner is apparently taking heavy flak from Pacquiao fans, as many believe that he does not stand a chance against the Filipino boxing superstar. As expected, the brash-talking Broner responded in his trademark manner, saying, "Who ever think this guy would beat me is a dam [sic] fool," Broner wrote through social media. "I don't lose to southpaws. #PointBlankPeriod."

Broner last saw action in October, when he defeated Russia's Khabib Allakhverdiev via twelfth round technical knockout. He holds a record of 31-2 and one no contest, with 23 victories by knockout.
