Mario Lopez Proposes to Girlfriend Courtney Mazza on Camera
Television actor Mario Lopez proposed to girlfriend Courtney Mazza on camera, during a New Year’s celebration.
The actor, who first became popular as A.C. Slater in “Saved By The Bell” has also appeared on “Extra” and “Dancing With the Stars.” The couple, who met in 2008, announced in March 2010 that they were expecting a new baby girl.
"Besides our daughter's birth, this was the best moment of my life!" Mazza, a Broadway dancer, told US Weekly.
"We took a long walk alone as the sun was setting," Lopez said to US Weekly. "I told Courtney that I wanted the mother of my children to have their last name."
He said, "She was silent at first from shock, then she leaped for joy and did a little jete!"
According to StarzLife, cameras captured the entire event. In an interview on Extra before the engagement was announced Lopez said, “I’ve come to the realization that I’m never going to meet another woman as special and amazing as the one I have and I think she’s finally succumb to my pressure and will take me.”
On January 1, the actor wrote on Twitter that he was spending the weekend with the “hottest girl in Hollywood.” The couple has plans to wed in Mexico later on this year.
