'Mass Effect: Andromeda' Gameplay Leak Gets Fans Excited But They're Yet To Be Confirmed

This past weekend was an exciting one for fans of the game "Mass Effect: Andromeda" as supposed gameplay leaks found itself online via the game's Reddit page, according to a report in VG24/7. The supposed leaks were shared with the moderators of the "Mass Effect" Reddit page and these were compiled into a video and posted on the page, which fuelled further discussion and rumors about the upcoming third-person shooter.

According to the report, like in the past Mass Effect games, the player will fight in the company of two AI squadmates. The player and his/her squadmates will be equipped with jetpacks to be used for exploration. The leak also said that one of the AI squadmates will be a blonde woman, while the other would be the Krogan that was shown in the E3 2015 game trailer.

There will be some differences between the ship and the Normandy, according to the leak. It will be equipped with a meeting room and it can be flown manually from one place to another in the first person perspective, which departs from how it was done in previous games in the series. As the ship is being flown, there will be waypoints and markers that will help the player. The ship also has a section called Pathfinder's Quarters, which may be what the player is called in the game, as the Pathfinder is the one who is tasked to find a new home for humans.

According to a report in Tech Times, the game will have a new set of villains which will be a new alien race that is a mix between Vorcha and the Collectors, featured in previous games. The leaks remain to be unconfirmed by the game's developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts.

The game is said to be the next installment of the "Mass Effect" game franchise, but rather than being named "Mass Effect 4," it was named "Andromeda" as the setting of the game is in the Andromeda Galaxy. It is expected to be released sometime Q4 of 2016, for the PC and current generation consoles.
