Matt Redman's 'Beautiful News' Climbs the Charts
Matt Redman’s latest released album Beautiful News has recently hit the No. 3 spot on the Christian Retail Chart after only being on shelves for two weeks.
The award-winning worship artist’s CD had an initial debut at No. 7 in its first week and moved from the No. 19 to No. 4 position on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers Chart.
“Beautiful News displays once again Redman's penchant for catchy hooks and songs for collective praise and may in fact be his best release to date,” quotes a review from CMCentral.
Beautiful News has already sold about 10,000 copies in its first few weeks and has surpassed Redman’s last worship creation, Facedown by 87.3 percent.
In addition to the album, the first radio single, “Shine,” has become a Radio & Records Most Added AC single.
Beautiful News is now the ninth record among Redman’s critically acclaimed works. It continues on with the singer’s worship/pop focus that has given him success in the past.
The Fort Worth Star Telegram boasts, “[Beautiful News] is full of songs that can be listened to on their own merits and that can translate to worship settings.”
Redman currently has 8 songs within the Top 100 of the CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International) charts. The complimented songwriter will perform his new music on his upcoming “How Great is Our God Tour” which will begin on Jan. 25. The tour will also feature other worship superstars Chris Tomlin and Passion founder Louie Giglio.
