Worship Leader of America's Largest Church to Release Album

For many musicians, singing for their home churches may not seem to be a big deal, but it is when their churches house an audience of thousands. This is the norm for Cindy Cruse Ratcliff, the worship leader at Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.

Known as “America’s Worship Leader” by many, Ratcliff is no novice to ministry or being in front of a crowd. She began traveling and singing throughout the world as a child with her family singing group The Cruse Family. Being very accomplished from a young age, she began recording music at the age of six and by age nine she became ASCAP’s youngest licensed song writer at nine.

In 2011, Ratcliff and her husband founded their own record label, RPM Music Inc. Ratcliff is now on the verge of releasing her highly anticipated solo album Twenty Three.

Twenty Three is an eclectic mix of 12 songs inspired by Psalm 23, intermixing rock, Latin, and worship ballads.

The lead single, “Hurricane,” is an electrifying upbeat ballad that enters powerfully with roaring guitars, which echoes the sentiment of God’s control and authority. The song smooths out during the verses which also relay Ratcliff’s two-fold message in this song, that in addition to God’s mighty power, He still has a gentle touch.

“Your’re like a hurricane / You’re like a raging sea / You’re like a wild fire / Blazing inside of me / You’re like a waterfall / Running wild and free / But I still/Hear Your still small voice / When You speak to me.”

Along with powerful ballads that will inspire one to dance and praise, this album is also laced with songs like “Love So Amazing” that will inspire one to fall down in worship. This piano-based worship ballad speaks of the amazing love that Christ has for each believer and the amazing love that is given in response to it.
