Members of Congress spar over Trump’s capture of Maduro: ‘Reckless’ or protecting Americans?
4. Markwayne Mullin
Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., said Maduro must be held accountable for crimes against American families.
Mullin shared a Bible verse, Hebrews 4:12, in his initial response, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Then, he added, “President Trump is 100% focused on protecting the American people.”
He called Maduro “the leader of a criminal narco-terrorist organization that actively targets Americans” and cited a U.S. indictment issued six years ago for trafficking drugs “that have killed tens of thousands of innocent Americans—including Oklahomans.”
“Personally, I hope he rots in prison,” Mullin said of Maduro. “God bless our brave U.S. military personnel for executing a flawless mission.”
