Miley Cyrus to Star and Produce a Movie About God

Miley Cyrus will star in and produce an untitled Paramount film with the premise of Christianity. The God-themed film will be Miley’s debut production alongside her mother, Tish Cyrus, under the duo’s Hope Town Entertainment brand. Also producing is Andrew Panay, “Wedding Crashers” and “When in Rome” creator.

Writers of the new movie’s storyline, Sam Brown and Jack Angelo, are keeping information about the script very quiet, but the comedy is understood to entail a broken promise to God. Producing via Panay Films is Adam Glass, with Jodi Zuckerman Weiner as executive producer.

Cyrus, 18-year-old former Disney star, is effectively transitioning into more adults roles. She starred in the Nicholas Sparks romance “The Last Song” in 2010 alongside boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. The film earned $89m worldwide.

After a year long hiatus from Twitter, Cyrus used her account to display the tattoo of an equal sign on her ring finger. The singer and actress had to defend her decision to support gay marriage as fans flooded Twitter with mixed reactions.
