Missouri Sex Offender Arrested and Charged for Assaulting 2-Year-Old and 11-Year-Old Girls
A return trip to the jail cell may not be far-fetched for a Missouri sex offender.
Fifty-seven-year-old Dave Saffeels was arrested and charged last weekend with nine counts of felonies, plus statutory rape and sodomy. The victims, first, an 11-year-old, and the other, a 2-year-old, were believed to have been abused by Saffeels between the months of August and September, reported the Daily Mail.
Prior to his arrest, Saffeels already served eight years in prison and was released in 2002. He was charged with statutory sodomy in the first degree for sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl, the Inquisitr reported.

The alleged incident with the 11-year-old victim took place in August when Saffeels was at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield. The report said that the girl was also in the hospital to visit someone who had just given birth. The girl and Saffeels eventually ended up together in a vacant room where the rape allegedly took place.
The police report said that Saffeels rubbed his hands against the girl's groin before taking offer her shorts and raping her. The incident was allegedly repeated by Saffeels after a few hours, then a third time the following day. The report said there was also a fourth incident, which took place at the victim's home while she was taking a shower.
Saffeels, in his defense, claimed that he was "provoked" by the girl, saying she was often wearing shorts and spreading her legs in front of him.
The second allegation, on the other hand, allegedly took place in a woman's house where he was left with the 2-year-old girl. The incident took place between the days when the first victim reported to the authorities until Saffeels was arrested, which was a total of 10 days.
"It does take time to confirm allegations and develop the probable cause needed for an arrest and subsequent criminal charges," said Lisa Cox, Springfield Police spokeswoman. "Additionally, assistance from outside agencies is needed for the investigation of cases, such as this one, which involve juvenile victims," she added.
