Most Comprehensive Theological Forum in Christendom Begins

The Faith and Order plenary commission, sometimes referred to as the most comprehensive theological forum in Christendom, began on July 28, under the banner, “Receive one another as Christ has received you to the glory of God” (Romans 15:7). The 76-year old body brings together some 150 members of clergy, laity, scholars, youth and outside observers from various Christian traditions across the world. The meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will end in July 6, with the hopes of maintaining a greater unity within the churches and extending dialogue with the Holy See (the Catholic Church).
