'My Hero Academia: One's Justice' Game Announced for the Nintendo Switch and PS4

A second video game based on the hit manga and anime "My Hero Academia" is on the way.

Bandai Namco Entertainment is working on a new game titled "My Hero Academia: One's Justice," according to the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Weekly Jump.

Described as a 3D battle action, the game is being developed for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Nintendo Switch. Fans will get their first look at the Jump Festa 2018 expo set to take place on Dec. 16 and 17 in Japan.

As expected, "My Hero Academia: One's Justice" will see the characters fans know and love in Kohei Horikoshi's series pitted against each other in stages that they can end up tearing down due to the intense showdowns.

Before the announcement was made, Bandai Namco hinted of "My Hero Academia: One's Justice" by launching a countdown site that featured an image of a microwave and an egg that fans quickly associated with the series.

For the uninitiated, "My Hero Academia" follows the journey of a young boy born without superpowers as he follows his dreams to become a superhero in a world where they are the norm.

It started serialization in 2014 and was instantly a big hit. It was adapted for the small screen last year by Studio Bones. The stellar second season, which received praises and critical acclaim, wrapped up last September.

The show is expected to return April next year with the third season, and with "My Hero Academia: One's Justice" now official, fans have something more to look forward to.

The first video game based on the manga and anime hit is titled "My Hero Academia: Battle for All." It was released last year in Japan on the Nintendo 3DS.

But with "My Hero Academia: One's Justice," Izuku Midoriya and company get to finally cross the console realm. Whether it will find its way to the west, however, remains to be seen at this time.
