'NBA 2K18' News: Bonus Items To Be Made Available to Players Via the NikeConnect App

MyPLAYER boosts among items 'NBA 2K18' players can receive from the app

"NBA 2K18" is now available on store shelves all over the world. And for those fans who want some extra items to help them in the game, they can look into a special offer that will go live later this month.

Announced just recently over on Twitter, Nike and the aforementioned game's developers have teamed up to offer fans special items that may make going through the game a little easier and a bit more enjoyable.

With NikeConnect launching on Sept. 29, basketball fans will soon be able to obtain some bonus items with a little help from their Nike basketball jerseys and the app itself.

The NikeConnect app will be available for Apple devices running iOS 11 and for Android devices that feature NFC capability.

Once players have their jersey and the app ready, they can then follow the steps outlined previously by Nike in order to claim their bonuses.

First off, players will have to launch the app, and once that is out of the way, they can then tap the phone on the tag located at the bottom of their Nike NBA jersey. If done properly, players should find themselves on a celebration page.

With the app now up and fully running, fans can click on the Offers tab and see some of the bonuses they can claim.

Among the bonuses that "NBA 2K18" players can receive are randomized MyPLAYER boosts. If the jersey used is one that belongs to a featured NBA player, then fans will get a MyTEAM Free Agent card. A MyTEAM Arena Card will be given for other NBA jerseys.

These bonuses should prove to be helpful, especially to those who may be newcomers to the series.

Subsequent scans using the app will allow players to obtain more randomized boosts for MyPLAYER mode.

More news about "NBA 2K18" should be made available in the near future.
