New Batsuit in 'Batman vs. Superman' Movie to Be Grey? Ben Affleck Looks 'Mind-Bending'

The new Batsuit for the Batman vs. Superman film will be unlike any that moviegoers have ever seen before, according to reports. Comic book man, actor and filmmaker Kevin Smith saw Ben Affleck in the new Batsuit over the weekend and was reportedly so happy that he "instantly bear-hugged" the film's director, Zack Snyder.

The new Batsuit details were revealed by Smith on his Hollywood Babble-On podcast Nov. 9 at The Improv in Brea, Calif.

"You have not seen this costume in a movie on film before. … For a comic book fan it was mind-bending," Smith said. "Everyone always does this f------ matrix kind of slash X-men black armor thing."

The comic book collector said fans would be happy that the director didn't go with the widely panned Goerge Clooney suit from "Batman & Robin," which gave many a sigh of relief.

"There wasn't a single nipple on this suit," Smith continued. "It's its own thing. We haven't been down this path before. Even the hardest core [most skeptical] person will be like, 'Alright, I'm ready.'"

Although it was bleeped out of the podcast because it was somewhat of a spoiler, Smith said the suit was "very Jim Lee influenced," which could mean the Caped Crusader will be wearing the grey and black suit instead of the all-black suit from most movies.

Other news concerning the possibility of Wonder Woman and other superheroes in the "Man of Steel 2" movie has been revealed recently as well. Although Jamie Alexander, who plays Sif in the "Thor" films, was rumored to have auditioned for the part, the shortlist for the Amazon was released and she wasn't on it.

Instead, Gal Godot of "Fast and Furious," Elodie Young of "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" and Olga Kurylenko of "Oblivion," according to Variety. The description of "tall, brunette, athletic and exotic" could also refer to Bruce Wayne's love interest, though it's unlikely as director Zack Snyder has described Batman as "tired and weary" in the film.

The Flash and Green Lantern have also been subject to unconfirmed rumors concerning the film, which has led more fans to think the Batman vs. Superman movie could be the start of the Justice League. Warner Bros. has not commented on additional superheroes, though.

"Man of Steel 2" will star Henry Cavill as Superman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. The film is slated for release July 17, 2015.
