New Minecraft Festive Mash-Up DLC Pack Rolling Out for Xbox One and Xbox 360 Players
The guys from 4J Studios surely know how to bring more cheer in this festive season when they announced that a Christmas-themed DLC pack for their massively-popular game title Minecraft is already out and ready for pick up.
Just this week, Xbox Wire wrote that the Festive Mash-Up Pack was already available for Xbox One and Xbox 360 (as of Dec. 10).
"Mine, build and play in a wintery landscape on Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition starting on Dec. 10, and soon on other platforms. Happy holidays from Minecraft and Xbox!" the announcement from the official Microsoft game console website reads.
Fans and avid players should expect additional 36 new skins, new music (performed by C418), as well as a Christmas-themed winter texture pack.
The site went on to say that the holiday DLC pack will sell out for $2.99 in the US and prices may vary for other regions.
Prices for the upcoming platforms have yet to be announced.
Speaking of other gaming platforms, Roger Carpenter of Microsoft Studios took to his social media to announce that the extension pack will also be heading for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita "soon."
"Festive Mash-up for non-Xbox? Yes! pretty sure if you read this http://news.xbox.com/2014/12/games-minecraft-festive-pack … it says 'and soon on other platforms'. It means soon," the Twitter post reads.
As with all the previous Minecraft mash-up pack offerings, the new Christmas DLC allows players to personalize their Minecraft worlds. This means that gamers can dress up their playable figures to look like Santa Claus or one of his elves.
Earlier DLC versions have featured contents from other popular video game franchises like Bethesda Studio's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Bioware's Mass Effect series.
