New Spider-Man Reboot News: Marvel Creative Officer Addresses New Web-Slinger Rumors
Ever since it was announced that Sony Entertainment will now be lending the well-loved web-slinger, Spider-Man, to Marvel Studios, countless rumours and speculations sprang out to say that there might be someone new behind the red and blue mask.
Unfortunately for those who rooted for a Miles Morales Spider-Man, a recently released announcement from Marvel's Chief Creative Officer indicates that this might not be the case.
Marvel's Joe Quesada interacted with fans on his Tumblr fan page and suggested that Spider-Man would still have Peter Parker as his alter ego.

"The trick to making any incarnation of Spider-Man great, whether comics, animation or film is Peter Parker," he wrote. "Get Peter's character right and the rest falls into place."
The reason surrounding the Miles Morales Spidey movement would perhaps be about the desire to "increase diversity of onscreen superheroes," with Morales having half-African American and half-Latino blood, The Hollywood Reporter wrote.
However, this doesn't mean that the "Avengers" maker would not opt out for a non-white actor to take on the role of Parker.
Meanwhile, the next Spider-Man, whatever he may be under the mask, is reported to be featured in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" alongside Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron-Man/Tony Stark and Chris Evans' Captain America/Steve Rogers.
It was also reported that right after the re-introduction in Cap 3, Spider-Man will once again be given a standalone feature, which Sony is eyeing to be a multi-installment movie franchise.
"Captain America: Civil War" is slated to hit the theatres on May 6, 2016.
