NHL 2015 Live Stream: Boston Bruins Clash With Detroit Red Wings

Their last meeting ended in a 5-2 win for Boston, with Detroit now looking for revenge.

Eastern Conference giants collide as the Boston Bruins host the Detroit Red Wings at the TD Garden in the National Hockey League.

The Bruins recently earned a hard-fought victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. In the 3-2 win, the Bruins needed overtime to get two points behind Brad Marchand's goal during extra time.

In that tough match, the Bruins saw themselves down 2-1 in the dying stages before Marchand scored a tip-in with only 15 seconds remaining in regulation. He would then complete the heroic return by scoring in overtime.

The win gave Boston 74 points to extend their lead over the Florida Panthers in the race for eighth place in the East.

As for the Red Wings, they had their three game win streak snapped after a 5-2 loss to the Calgary Flames.

Detroit held a 2-0 lead early in the first period of play, but allowed five straight goals to eventually concede defeat.

However, the Red Wings are still fifth in the East, only seven points behind top-seeded Montreal.

Recently, the Bruins have dominated the Red Wings when they face-off. Their last match-up ended in a 5-2 dominating victory for Boston.

They opened up a 3-1 lead in the first period and kept the pressure on Detroit throughout the whole contest.

Detroit were able to pull a goal back in the second period, but could not produce in the final stretch as Boston pulled away.

If the 11-time NHL champions want to be able to beat Boston this time, they should get postive minutes from veterans Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk.

Zetterberg leads the teams in points and assists with 53 and 38, respectively.

Meanwhile, Datsyuk still attracts the defenses with his slick stick movement and control of the puck.
