Oppo R7s News: High Performance Device Arrives In Europe In December
Chinese device manufacturer Oppo is bringing a high performance and high end smartphone to Europe this December. Announced last October, the Oppo R7s is part of the company's R7 series and will begin to be available on December 1 in U.K., Germany and France. According to a Tech Times report, Oppo describes the phone in a press release as follows: "The Oppo R7s boasts flash-speed performance with 4 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM and an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor."
Because of these processor specs, the company also said that multitasking will be a breeze and downloading apps and games will be "lightning-fast."
The Oppo R7s has a screen size of 5.5 inches and a display resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 pixels. Protection is provided via Corning Glass 3.0, according to GSM Arena. As mentioned earlier, the phone's chipset is a Snapdragon 615 chip that is composed of a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and another quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53. It is paired with an Adreno 405 GPU. The processor runs with 4 GB of RAM, while internal storage is at 32 GB. A microSD card slot allows for expanding memory up to 128 GB.
The device's cameras are a 13 megapixel rear camera, with phase detection autofocus and LED flash, while the secondary selfie camera is an 8 megapixel shooter. Connectivity options that are available are 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS.
The phone runs on Oppo's in-house Color OS 2.1, which is based on Android 5.1.1. Lollipop. Among the upgrades that Oppo made on their Color OS include power-saving features, faster boot-up and a "more sophisticated and intuitive interface, enhanced image experience, flawless operation and richer mobile Internet services," the same Tech Times report noted.
Consumers who are looking for a premium looking phone will likely give the R7s a second look as the model is made of premium metal alloy and has a sleek all-metal design with a very narrow 0.09 inch screen bezel.
The phone's battery is a 3,070 mAh battery which can be charged via VOOC Flash Charge technology that allows for 90 percent charging with only 50 minutes of charging time. Two minutes of charging will also provide two hours of talk time.
Started December 1, Oppo R7s will available in Europe for €349. A U.S. launch will be coming soon where it will retail for $399.
