'Orange Is the New Black' Season 5: Is Daya Next to Get in Trouble?

It is only a matter of months before fans learn in "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 what Daya (Dascha Polanco) will do with the gun she was wielding in the waning moments of the previous season.

After the prison downplayed the death of Poussey (Samira Wiley), the inmates started a riot, which led Officer Humphrey (Michael Torpey), unlawfully pulling a gun on them.

That firearm ended up with Daya, who, in turn, points it at the sociopathic officer. Fans are worried about what she will do with it come "Orange Is the New Black" season 5, but more importantly, the repercussions her actions will bring about.

From the looks of it, Daya will likely get in trouble in "Orange is the New Black" season 5 whichever route she chooses. Shooting an officer will definitely have some serious consequences.

Not pulling the trigger would mean Humphrey can still go around with his psychotic ways and could even twist the story to make Daya and the rest's lives a greater hell than they already are.

"Orange Is the New Black" season 5 will provide answers to these questions. The show's return is bound to be extremely intense especially since the whole season only covers three days in the life of the Litchfield inmates.

This was revealed by Danielle Brooks, who plays Taystee, at the Screen Actors Guild Award last month, adding that "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 will be "detailed" in sharing the story.

Poussey's death is a game-changer for the inmates, who will be dealing with it differently. For one, the tragedy will bring Alex (Laura Prepon) and Piper (Taylor Schilling) closer together in "Orange Is the New Black" season 5.

As for Taystee, Brooks teased in the past that her character will never be the same. Losing Vee (Lorraine Toussaint) was already too much and seeing Poussey dead is the last straw.

With nothing else to lose, Taystee is intent on waging war in "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 against everyone who wronged the people she loved and get the justice Poussey deserves.

This mission is expected to result in some casualties from the opposing forces so fans are advised prepare for the wild and heartbreaking ride.

"Orange Is the New Black" season 5 will premiere on June 9 on Netflix.
