'Person of Interest' CBS Premieres Tonight
CBS commences its hugely anticipated new series “Person of Interest” tonight at 9 p.m.
Executive produced by JJ Abrams and Jonathan Nolan, the dramatic series stars Michael Emerson of “Lost” and Jim Caviezel who appeared in “The Passion of the Christ.”
A former CIA agent has discovered how to cut crime by using hidden and state-of-the-art technology. The equipment can access emails, phone conversations, and surveillance cameras- identifying both victims and criminals, and everyone in between.
“Person of Interest” takes place in New York City and also stars Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson.
In anticipation of the premiere, people have taken to Twitter to sound off about their expectations.
“This is probably the best pilot I’ve ever seen, and definitely the best action-oriented one,” Under the Radar postd after previewing “Person of Interest.”
“PERSON OF INTEREST is going to do very, very, very well tonight,” wrote Damon.
Angela wrote, “So excited to watch ‘Person of Interest’ tonight!”
America’s most-watched network, CBS, is also premiering season five of “The Big Bang Theory” at 8 P.M., an hour before “Person of Interest,” on Thursday.
For his role on “The Big Bang Theory” Jim Parsons won took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a comedy series last week.
Created by “Two and a Half Men’s” Chuck Lorre, the sitcom also stars Johnny Galecki, and offers writing from co-creator Bill Prady as well as Steve Molaro.
The show was voted Favorite Comedy at 2010’s People’s Choice Awards, and Parsons also coveted the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor on a Television Series for his role on “The Big Bang Theory.”
During the season three premiere of the series, “The Big Bang Theory” became CBS’s highest-rated show. CBS announced this year that the show has been renewed for the next three years.
