'Person of Interest' Season 4 Premiere Live Stream, CBS TV Start Time, Spoilers: Team Struggles With New Identities
CBS' hit crime drama television series "Person of Interest" is slated to return for its fourth season on Sept. 23, 2014, Tuesday at 10 p.m. Considered by some to be fashioned akin to Tom Cruise's "Minority Report," "POI" will continue to tackle the concept of preventing crimes by using a special "omnipresent surveillance system" that identifies criminals.
Written by Greg Plageman and Erik Mountain, POI's premiere episode is entitled "Panopticon."
"Forced to take on new identities created by Root, the team tries to adapt to their new lives. However, some find it hard to ignore The Machine's numbers, which puts them all at risk of being detected by Samaritan," thw synopsis reads.
This in lieu with what the season 3 had ended where Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), John Reese (Jim Caviezel), Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi) and Root (Amy Acker) now have new identities after the destruction of the Library.
As suggested, the characters will be attempting to adapt to their new lives. However, as revealed by executive producer Greg Plageman, it won't be easy.
"Both Reese and Shaw will struggle with their new lives," he told the IBTimes, adding that the the character "enjoys the anonymity of being 'the man in the suit.'"
On the other hand, the secret billionaire "has come to a place of doubting the intentions of his creation. Finch has been much more measured in his belief of what his creation is doing. He's a lot more conflicted about it and that conflict will continue," executive producer Jonathan Nolan told TV Guide.
More spoilers suggest that someone is expected to die in the fourth season as this is the way the show was kept "fresh."
"How we keep it fresh is we kill people. I I have to call an actor tomorrow to let them know…" Plageman tweeted.
