Piper Perabo Engaged, Actress to Marry 'Covert Affairs' Director

Piper Perabo is engaged to director and producer Stephen Kay, according to reports on Friday.

The Australia-born, Texas-raised actress is best known for her roles in films such as "Coyote Ugly" and "Cheaper By the Dozen," and more recently, the television series "Covert Affairs."

It is unknown how long the actress had been dating Kay, but it is likely that their romance began on the set of "Covert Affairs" where he is the director.

Nevertheless, the pair is happily betrothed, People.com reported on Sept. 6.

"They're very happy," said a source close to Perabo and Kay.

As for their popular television series, the final six episodes of season four of "Covert Affairs" will resume on Oct. 17.

Later this year, the Golden Globe-nominated actress will appear in the film "Red Machine" alongside Billy Bob Thornton and James Marsden.

Directed by David Hackl, the thriller takes place in the Alaskan wild and follows reunited brothers who take on a dangerous grizzly bear.

Meanwhile, Perabo joins dozens of other Hollywood stars set for a walk down the aisle in the near future.

Earlier this week, talk show host Katie Couric confirmed her engagement to boyfriend John Molner.

"Yes it's true," the "Kate" talk show host posted to Twitter on Sept. 3. "So touched by all the kind Tweets & warm wishes- thank you! A great end to the summer & looking fwd to seeing you all Monday!!"

Then, one day later, news broke that Scarlett Johansson was engaged to journalist Roman Dauriac.

"I can confirm that Scarlett and Romain are engaged," the actress' publicist, Marcel Pariseau, told USA Today.

Ashley Tisdale also made recent plans to marry. The 28-year-old actress is engaged to musician Christopher French who proposed at the top of New York City's Empire State Building last month.
