Planetshakers To Undertake Second U.S. Tour

New Australian super-group Planetshakers is set for a ten city tour to promote their upcoming American release, My King: Live Praise & Worship. The tour will begin September 15th directly following the group’s successful June tour, which was their first in the United States. “The response we received from venues that hosted a Planetshakers event in June was remarkable. Kids loved the high-energy praise music and youth ministers were amazed at Planetshakers’ ability to connect with its young audience. We anticipate an equally rewarding experience this fall,” says Charley Redmond of the CR Group. (ccmmagazine.com)

The group, who have captured the youth of Australia (with only Hillsongs selling more records overall), have already left big impressions on the American audience. “It’s one thing to be a planet shaker, it’s another thing to be a planet shaper. These guys were both,” comments Warren Beemer of John Hagee Ministries at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio. “They impacted our kids both with their interaction and their worship. We love them, and we can’t wait to have them back.”

The group’s excitement at the positive comes from their “planet shaking” vision and their belief that influencing the States will lead to a global impact. "If you're really going to capture the planet, you really have to shake America and the entire country's hearts," says Director Russell Evans. "Australia saw the passion and joined in already. God has given us the same mandate to capture the hearts of American young people and then the tone is set from there- to empower young people one territory at a time to win the world for Christ!"
