Niantic is not giving out more details for now, aside from assuring players that "Plenty of good stuff is coming to the game later this October, and we can't wait to get out and about to see what sort of excitement we can scare up while catching new Pokémon to fill out our Pokédex."

There's an event confirmed though, as Niantic warns players to stay tuned for a "Pokémon GO" Halloween event that's about to come soon.

Some players think that this is the event that will see Niantic finally rolling out Pokémon from the third generation games, according to Polygon. With the mention of "new Pokémon" in the announcement text, this is what immediately comes to mind for "Pokémon GO" players who are looking for new ones to add to their collection.

In any case, players can just stay tuned for more details about new content and events coming to the mobile game. The Pokémon Company has also teased new surprises for Pokémon TV and their "Pokémon Sun and Moon" titles as well.
