'Pokemon Sun and Moon' Latest News: Marshadow Giveaway Announced

Fans of "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are again treated to another special giveaway. This time, a Mythical Pokemon becomes available for free.

Pokemon recently announced on its official website that the Marshadow is now available for free, but only for a limited time. Also known as the Gloomdweller Pokémon, Marshadow can be claimed by players by acquiring a free download code from GameStop.

Players will then select the "Mystery Gift" option on the main menu then click "Receive Gift." Thereafter, they must select "Get with Code/Password" then click "Yes," then another "Yes" to connect online. Players can then enter their Code to receive the rare Pokemon, which they can pick up from the delivery man from the Pokemon Center.

The promo runs until Oct. 23, which means players should act quickly to enjoy the Fighting/Ghost-type Pokemon and its abilities. Moreover, Gamespot also reported that this is the first time the Level 50 Pokemon Marshadow becomes available in any of the Pokemon games.

According to his official description, Marshadow "brings a unique twist to battle." Whenever the creature attacks, "its body turns green thanks to its burning fighting spirit." Marshadow comes with his trademark attacks led by the Spectral Thief, which inflict damage on opponents while stealing the latter's stats boost.

Other abilities include Close Combat, Force Palm, and Shadow Ball, and he is also armed with a Marshadium Z.

Meanwhile, The Pokemon Company also announced that "The Pokémon TCG: Premium Trainer's XY Collection" will be launched on Oct. 20. The box set features a collection of rare Pokemon cards from the "XY" series of the famous Trading Card Game.

The box set's centerpieces are the 14 full-art, tournament-ready holographic promo cards, featuring Veltal-EX, Jirachi, and Shaymin-EX, among others. Aside from the cards, the box set also includes other cool items like, "two sets of card sleeves featuring Xerneas and Yveltal, two sets of tournament-ready dice," and a Pikachu coin made of metal.

In addition, the set also comes with two Pokemon TCG booster packs from the "XY" series.
