Nicki Minaj Attacked by Samuels, Police Report Indicates

After vehemently denying rumors that she was recently struck in the face by a male companion, police reports have surfaced proving there may be more to rapper Nicki Minaj’s story than she is willing to tell.

The Dallas Observer has reportedly received a Dallas Police Department Report stating that Minaj was indeed struck by Safarre “Scaffbeezy” Samuels, her on-stage hype man.

Although the two denied Samuels punching Minaj via Twitter on Wednesday, the DPD Report indicates that Minaj was hit in the face with a suitcase.

According to the police report, the argument that traveled to Minaj’s Palomar Hotel room escalated when Samuels attempted to leave. Minaj allegedly told Samuels that she did not want him taking anything out of the room after he attempted to retrieve his belongings from her suitcase.

When Samuels picked up the suitcase, the DPD issued report states “he shoved the suitcase across the comp’s chin and lower lip.”

The reporting officer said Minaj had swelling and redness around her chin area, and she also suffered a cut lip.

Upon the release of the report, a new witness was unveiled. Rex Chevalier, a reported employee of Minaj, was also on the scene. However, he would not provide the authorities with any additional information about the incident or Samuels.

The report called Chevalier, “very uncooperative with reporting officers and would not let reporting officers into his hotel room to retrieve (Minaj’s) suitcase.”

Reports also stated that Minaj did want pictures taken or to press charges. The rapper’s only request was for her suitcase to be returned.

After the incident, Samuels appeared on stage with Nicki Minaj for her next Femme Fatale tour performance. She is scheduled to appear in concert on July 15 at the New Orleans Arena.
