'Prison Break' Season 5 Spoilers: Michael and Lincoln to Make Their Return

"Prison Break's" most popular characters are expected to return for the series' upcoming fifth season.

Fans have been wondering if the hit series "Prison Break" will be returning with another season after it ended last 2009. Previous news has confirmed that FOX will be bringing back the series with its fifth season next year. The return is to commemorate FOX's big anniversary, which is also seeing the revival of many FOX series.

In addition to the show's return, it was revealed that fans will be able to see their favorite characters Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows. Wenthworth Miller, who plays the role of Michael, and Dominic Purcell, who plays the role of Lincoln, will be back for the upcoming 10 episodes of "Prison Break."

There are speculations that Scofield's wife, Dr. Sara Tancredi, will also be back in the series. If this is true, the series will most likely show the two as a happy family since the previous season ended with Sara pregnant.

However, only Miller and Purcell are the only ones confirmed to reprise their roles. With that, there have been rumors that other actors will be back to portray their past characters again. This includes Robert Knepper, who plays the role of Bagwell, Amaury Nolasco, who plays the role of Fernando Sucre, and William Fichtner, who plays the role of Alexander Mahone.

There has yet to be details on how the story of the new season will go. There are speculations that it will continue from the events that took place when the series ended. However, fans are wondering just how the story will portray Michael Scofield's death, which was shown in the finale of season 4, since it was said that he will be returning for season 5.

"Prison Break" season 5 is expected to premiere this March 2016.
