Greg Laurie, an author and pastor of the multisite megachurch Harvest Christian Fellowship in California, also offered his condolences.
In a post on Twitter, Laurie quoted a 2002 remark by the queen in which she said: “I rely on my faith to guide me through the good times and the bad.”

“Elizabeth II wasn’t just an icon of the 21st century, England’s Queen. She was the daughter of another King, the King of Kings & Lord of Lords,” Laurie tweeted. “Welcome home. You left us better.”
