Ramona Singer Files for Divorce After Mario Cheating Reports; Asks for 'Privacy'

"Real Housewives of New York" Ramona Singer has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of 27-years Mario.

The Bravo TV star, 57, reportedly took legal steps towards ending her marriage days after a domestic dispute with Mario, who has been at the center of infidelity reports for several months. Ramona, who shares a teenage daughter Avery with the Entrepreneur, is yet to publicly confirm the divorce however she alluded to her marital woes in a public statement, according to People magazine.

"This is a personal and private matter for our family," Ramona said in a statement on Wednesday. "For my daughter Avery's sake, I would appreciate everyone respecting our privacy during this difficult time."

The Manhattan based businesswoman reportedly "threw a fit and called the cops" last week after finding her estranged husband at their Southampton home with socialite Kasey Dexter.

The estranged couple reportedly agreed that Ramona would reside in their Manhattan home and that Mario would move into their Southampton house in the wake of their separation, The New York Post's Page Six reported.

"She saw him there with the girlfriend and made a big scene and called the police," the insider revealed. "She did not want a divorce. Ramona loves her life. She loves Mario."

Insiders claim Ramona accused Mario of getting physical during the domestic dispute however no charges were filed. The separation reports come as a shock to fans as the reality star previously insisted that her marriage was fine.

"They like to put on appearances like things are okay," one source told Us Weekly magazine. "It's been going on like this for awhile."

In October Ramona publicly denied reports claiming Mario had been unfaithful. Insiders claimed the father of one impregnated another woman however the reality star insisted these reports are false.
