Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been going viral in recent days for his heated interview with CNN anchor Dana Bash on Sunday.

The interview, which spanned more than 20 minutes, grew contentious as it covered the COVID-19 response, Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Donald Trump, vaccines and what Kennedy alleged was the media's failure to be adequately skeptical toward the government.

Bash, who appeared in Fauci's recently released private diary entries as one of the left-leaning media figures with whom he maintained an unusually close relationship, grew increasingly adversarial toward Kennedy as she accused him of spreading falsehoods, and he accused CNN of intentionally spreading fear during the pandemic.

Here are 4 highlights from their tense interview, which was extensively fact-checked by FactCheck.org on Tuesday.
