'RHOA' Reunion: Kenya Moore Issues Statement After Porsha Stewart Brawl Airs: 'Violence is Never an Option' (VIDEO)

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore spoke out on Monday after the airing of the season 6 reunion show.

In a lengthy statement, Moore slammed her co-star Porsha Stewart for resorting to violence during the reunion show taping. On Sunday, days after Stewart was arrested and booked for assaulting Moore, viewers watched the brawl unfold and footage appears to support the former Miss USA's claims that she was violently attacked after a heated exchange.

The incident occurred in March and Stewart has since been charged with misdemeanor battery.

"There are many inflammatory statements made by cast members to and about each other particularly during the reunion tapings. Many have made untrue, denigrating, disparaging, and inflammatory statements against me in an attempt to provoke me, but I have never reacted in a violent way," Moore said in a statement obtained by Ebony.com.

"My intellect and my brain are my most powerful weapons -- not my fists," she continued.

During the reunion show part 1 Stewart "blacked out" while rehashing old wounds with her Bravo TV co-stars and while she immediately regretted her decision to lunge at Moore, she was ultimately sent home by Bravo TV executive Andy Cohen. The rest of the reunion show taping took place without Stewart.

Moore, whose hair was pulled after she was pushed to the ground by an enraged Stewart, explained her decision to press charges. The pair have been at odds since they both joined the show in season 5.

"If people get so angry that they lose control and admittedly "black out" and resort to violence, those persons must be held responsible for their actions," she said adding "That's the lesson we should all want to send, especially to young people — that no matter how angry someone makes you feel by what they say to or about you, violence is never an option. #stoptheviolence."

Stewart is now rumored to be on the chopping block over the assault with reports claiming she will likely not return to the show in season 7.

"I can't believe I did that! I have embarrassed myself!" a sobbing Stewart – who was seen helplessly lying on the floor after the attack – said apologetically.

Last week her co-star Kandi Burruss urged Moore to "drop the charges" via Instagram and a new report claims the former beauty queen is open to dropping the charges on one condition.
