Sage Stallone Dead: Sylvester Stallone Tells Media to 'Stop the Speculation!'

Hollywood actor and action film star Sylvester Stallone has spoken out about his son's death Sunday night, in a statement released to TMZ. In the statement Stallone asks "people to respect my talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha."

Stallone called his son Sage the "center of our universe" and urged "the speculation and questionable reporting" to stop surrounding his son. In the past days since news of Sage Stallone's death was made public, media reports have claimed he died of unidentified pills, and other reports also claimed he had been dead for three days and was found in filthy conditions.

Stallone said, "When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain... This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory in full left in peace," according to TMZ.

No precise cause of death has so far been announced, and an autopsy and toxicology tests are currently being carried out. However, the exact cause of death could take days or even weeks to determine.

According to a statement by the Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner, Ed Winter, authorities found prescription bottles in the 36 year old's residence, but would not confirm what those pills were. They are at the moment unable to confirm whether the prescription pills had anything to do with his death.

However, it has been confirmed that no suicide note was found, indicating it was not a self-inflicted death, and there has been no evidence and no reason to suspect any foul play in the tragedy.

Sage's representative, George Braunstein, has said in the aftermath of his death, "The last conversation I had with him he was telling me about how he was getting married, and he was planning on some kind of exciting costume wedding in Las Vegas. He was up and positive about everything," according to E! News.

Sage starred in two movies with his father, "Rocky V" and "Daylight." He went on to co-found Grindhouse Releasing. He was the eldest son of two between Sylvester Stallone and his first wife, Sasha Czack.
