Samsung Galaxy S2 to Sell for $49.99 Along With Other T-Mobile Smartphones

T-Mobile will be running a sale this upcoming weekend where many of the carrier’s high end smartphone prices will drop to just $49.99.

The sale includes the wildly popular Samsung Galaxy S2 on T-Mobile that normally sells for $199.99. T-Mobile’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 includes some impressive specs such as an 8-megapixel camera, dual-core 1.5GHz processor and Super AMOLED display.

Other devices will also receive the new $49.99 price tag by T-Mobile, such as the Blackberry Bold 99000, Blackberry Torch II 9810, HTC Sensation, and myTouch 4G Slide. The sale was discovered by TmoNews and will happen this weekend at T-Mobile stores. It will be dubbed the “New Year, New Phone,” value sale and will feature a good chunk of the carrier’s smartphones for $49.99 or less after a mail in rebate.

In order for customers to take advantage of the deal, they must qualify for it by meeting a list of criteria. The phone purchased needs to be a new activation, a two-year contract, and the new activation must be under a value plan. The sale will take place for Jan. 6 to Jan. 8.

For customers interested in purchasing the Samsung Galaxy S2, a down payment of $199.99 would be required and they would later receive a $150 rebate through the mail. Any Classic, Legacy or existing Value Plan customer qualifies for this promotion with a 2-year contract and there will not be any handset tenure or contract requirements. Standard migration fees will apply for customers switching to a Value plan and the new device must be activated to upgraded to an Unlimited Value Plan with qualifying data feature.
