Samsung Galaxy S3 Revealed in CES Video

Samsung could have possibly offered those in attendance at this year's consumer electronics show a first look at its upcoming Galaxy S3 smartphone.

During the company's press conference at CES a promotional video was shown that featured a brief shot of a handset that has never been seen before being used to control a Samsung camera.

This smartphone's design appeared to be similar to the rumored designs for the iPhone 5 that were constantly leaking throughout 2011. Its design was slim with a curved back and wider screen-size to the Samsung Galaxy S2. However, no mention was made of the next Galaxy S smartphone during the presentation that included the video.

The current rumors regarding the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S3 reveal that the device could possibly have a 1.8GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and a 720p display, while others claim it could be backed by 3D technology.

The vice president of Samsung's product innovation department stated in an interview with CNET that all of the company's new smartphones will include "all day battery life."

"When you wake up to when you go to bed, we don't want you feeling anxiety about your battery life," he said.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is also expected to use Gorilla Glass 2 for its display that was also featured at this year's CES. The electronics giant is currently in talks with Corning Inc. the company that created the material in order to implement it into its upcoming device.

Samsung is also looking into HzO, a technology that would fully waterproof its future devices. HzO was created by a company named ZAGG who displayed this waterproof feature by fully submerging a device under water that was unharmed by it and worked perfectly afterwards.
