Samsung Galaxy S6 News: Cases Show Phone Design
There's probably not a single day that passes without a leak or rumor about Samsung's upcoming flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S6.
Recent string of news pointed out to a variety of phone cases from makers like Spigen, Verus, Ewill and more others. Just this week, a new housing for the purported device has been displayed. This time, the theme of the design isn't about rigidity and sturdiness but about clarity.
A report from PhoneArena.com cited Chinese social media site Weibo.com putting up photos of a transparent S6 phone case.
Given the transparency, the picture details reveal S6's protruding camera lens on the back with the flash and heart-rate sensor placed on its right side.
The clear casing also showed heavily rounded corners, taller home key, bottom-placed speakers, slim (almost metallic-looking) "unibody" chassis – all of which screams a near similarity of Apple's iPhone 6 design.
In a related Samsung Galaxy S6 news, SamMobile (via PhoneArena) once again dished out a new set of rumors indicating that the upcoming next-gen smartphone from the South Korean tech giant might arrive with an impressive 20-megapixel primary camera and a new camera app.
As stated by the website, which in turn cited their reliable insiders, at least a number of "working prototypes" of the forthcoming device feature a 20 MP shooter.
According to SamMobile: "This particular prototype was fitted with a 20-megapixel rear camera (with optical image stabilization) and a 5-megapixel front camera; both sensors are made by Samsung (model numbers SLSI_S5K2T2_FIMC_IC and SLSI_S5K4E6_FIMC_IS). The rear camera will take photos in 20MP (5952×3348), 15MP (4464×3348), 11MP (3344×3344), 8MP (3264×2448), 6MP (3264×1836) and 2.4MP (2048×1152) resolution."
As for the front-facing snapper, the longtime Samsung tipster said that the Galaxy Note Edge maker will use the same specs found on the Galaxy A series.
The site however noted that this information "isn't fully accurate" given the fact that the conclusion was drawn from a prototype device.
Any official updates or information about the Samsung Galaxy S6 and its alleged variant Galaxy S6 Edge will probably be served at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress 2015.
