The trailer begins with McCain's advisor warning his candidate that in order for the Republican campaign to have a shot against "a man who has no major life accomplishments," the campaign would need to "create a dynamic moment."

The film recounts the rise of Palin, showing how the Alaska Governor was thrown into the role without adequate preparation and she handled the pressure.

"It wasn't my fault, I wasn't properly prepped," a cringing Palin says over the phone.

Another scene shows Palin's infamous ABC interview with Charles Gibson where the Vice Presidential candidate says that Russia can be seen from land in Alaska.

"Oh my God, what have we done," an appalled Schmidt asks.

The film is based off the book, "Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin and the Race of a Lifetime," by authors Mark Halperin and John Heilemann.

Critics are arguing that Palin won't be happy with her portrayal in the film.

Based off the movie trailer, the former Alaskan Governor is depicted having breakdowns, throwing tantrums, and shown struggling with the newfound pressure of the campaign.

Back in December, Palin shared with Fox News that she was not thrilled with the idea of watching the trials and tribulations of the 2008 campaign on screen.

"I think I'll just frit my teeth and bear whatever comes what may with that movie," she said before joking about the matter.

"Well, I am all about job creation and I guess I could provide some of these gals who pretend like they're me with some job security, I would ask through that – it they're of the mind of spreading wealth around – that perhaps they want to spring for one of my kid's braces or something as they capitalize on pretending to be me," Palin joked.
