Sarah Paulson's 'American Horror Story' Season 4 Spoiler: Two-Headed Character Revealed (PHOTO)

Sarah Paulson dropped a major "American Horror Story" spoiler via social media this week.

The "AHS" star is in the midst of filming season four for FX, entitled "AHS: Freak Show." While fans are already prepared for the fourth season to take place at a spooky carnival, Paulson offered a look at just how scary the cast of characters will be this year.

"So excited to be playing Bette AND Dot this season," Paulson wrote on Twitter on Thursday, June 12. "Two heads are better than one! #AHSFREAKSHOW"

Along with her post, Paulson added a photo revealing her frightening two-headed character. The actress wore a pink sweater while digital retouching allowed what appeared to be two identical heads and necks protruding from the same chest.

In addition to sharing the photo and announcing her character, Paulson revealed her initial reaction to this season's script while speaking to E! News recently.

"Holy s---," the actress recalled of reading the script which blends past "AHS" seasons "Coven" and "Asylum."

"There's going to be a little bit of a richer and potentially darker tone the way 'Asylum' had, but with the humor infused from 'Coven,'" Paulson added.

Meanwhile, as previously reported, the fourth season of "AHS" will be veteran actress Jessica Lange's last. While the actress has received numerous accolades including a Golden Globe Award for her work on "AHS," all before a storied career in Hollywood, the 64-year-old actress is retiring from acting altogether.

"I am coming to the end of acting," Lange told the Los Angeles Times last year. "I have a list: another stage production, maybe one or two more movies, one more season of 'American Horror Story,' and then that is it for me. Because I think that's enough. I want to go out with a bang … or should I say, a scare?"
