Scream Season 2 Episode 10 Spoilers: Sheriff Acosta's Secret May Be a Link to the Killer; Is Noah the Latest Victim of the Masked Killer?
Audrey and Emma find it hard to trust each other. Noah gets blindsided by the killer.
In "Scream" Season 2 episode 10, titled "The Vanishing", Audrey and Emma will come to a disagreement that will only make them drift further apart. As secrets continue to unravel, the mystery of the killer's identity is far from being revealed in the MTV series.
Episode 9 "The Orphanage"
Another teen's life is taken by the masked killer of Brandon James. In the beginning, it appeared that Haley was trying to help out Emma's stalker, who later on got killed at a party.
The biggest shocker of the episode, however, is when Emma and Kieran found out that Ms. Lang, their teacher, is actually Piper's old friend. Piper's decomposing body was found propped in a chair in their old school, Blessed Sisters School. It's very likely that Ms. Lang is out to take revenge on Emma for Piper's death.
Audrey confessed to Emma that she was responsible for bringing Piper to their town. This secret caused a rift in their friendship and they began to question each other's loyalty. It was after Audrey separated herself from the rest that she found Ms. Lang's recorded conversation. In the recording, Ms. Lang says that she believes Emma has serious violent tendencies.
Episode 10 "The Vanishing"
It will be revealed in the episode that Maggie and Sheriff Acosta have a secret that may be threatening the present. The latter comes clean about his son, Gustavo, accidentally shooting his best friend in their previous home before moving to town. It was already too late when Sheriff Acosta called the police. However, Gustavo acted unexpectedly cool about the whole thing. Acosta further said they came to Lakewood to have a fresh start.
Audrey and Emma will have a disagreement that will only make their situation worse. Meanwhile, Noah gets blindsided by the killer when he used Noah's affection for Zoe. In the promo trailer for the episode, Noah is seen getting a text message from someone whom he thought was Zoe. He then goes to a secluded place but gets stabbed by a masked man who appears right in front of him.
Horror Movie Titles
In keeping up with the "Scream" Season 2's practice of naming each episode after a horror movie, episode 10's title "The Vanishing" comes from a 1993 remake of a 1988 Dutch-French film. Starring Kiefer Sutherland, Jeff Bridges and Sandra Bullock, it was about a man who wants to know what happened to his girlfriend, who had been missing for three years. He was approached by her kidnapper who promised to show him what happened to his girlfriend, but only after he experiences it himself. It was later revealed that his girlfriend was buried alive by the kidnapper.
"Scream" Season 2 episode 10 will air on August 2. The season finale is slated to air on August 16.
