'Secrets and Lies' season 2 spoilers: Michael Ealy to play lead

"Secrets and Lies" is the newest mystery anthology series on television. The series airs on ABC and has ended its freshman run. It is now headed into a second season.

The first season starred Ryan Philippe as Ben Carson, a family man who finds a young boy's body and becomes the prime suspect. He sets out to find the real killer, in order to clear his name.

The new season will revolve around Eric Warner (Michael Ealy), a newlywed heir to a private equity firm whose wife is murdered. The murder happens when he takes over his father's firm and he becomes the prime suspect. Is he actually guilty? Viewers will have to tune in to find out.

Detective Andrea Cornell (Juliette Lewis) returns for an all-new season and she is the only one from the previous season that is back. She leads the investigation into the death of Kate Warner (Jordana Brewster), the wife of Eric, and she seems to be the only one who cares about the truth.

The show has a very interesting cast, aside from Michael Ealy, Juliette Lewis, and Jordana Brewster. Actor Charlie Bennet will play Patrick Warner, the youngest of the Warner siblings who works as an analyst in the firm. Actress Annalynne McCord will play Melanie Warner, the wife of Patrick. She is described as inappropriate and outspoken. Actor Terry O'Quinn will play John Warner, the patriarch of the Warner family. He is described as a charismatic and endearing finance magnate and a loving father of three.

Other cast members include Mekia Cox, who will play Amanda Warner, the sister of Eric, and Patrick who is a criminal lawyer and she will spend time clearing her brother's name. Kenny Johnson will play Danny who becomes a possible suspect because he is a lurker with the look of a thug. Eric Winter will play Neal Oliver, the best friend of Eric Warner who also becomes a suspect.

The second season is set to return sometime next year.
