At a Houston Rockets basketball game last week, NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon signed a basketball that was then thrown out into the crowd. It was a piece of sports memorabilia that any basketball fan would cherish, especially in Houston, where Olajuwon won two NBA championships.

Among a sea of outstretched hands, one fan snatches the ball out of the air and secures it, much like the Hall of Famer who signed it. He sits down with his prize and then turns a lucky night into a remarkably kind one.
