Sony Xperia Z3 Release Date: Specs Leak Rumors Claim Handset Coming September 3, 2014
The release date rumors of Sony's soon-to-be Android flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z3 Compact, is confirmed to be unveiled this coming September 3 at the IFA 2014 Sony press conference, according to reports.
The online retailer ePrice was able to get Sony's invite for its exclusive booth unveiling and press conference in Berlin, Kpopstarz reported.
Although the invite didn't exactly stated the details of the products that the Japanese company plans to introduce, the bill somehow showed images of more likely a smartphone, a small lens camera, set of speakers, a slim television, and some sort of a bipod.
The source, who leaked the photo online, had already revealed through GSMArena about Sony's plan to release a new 4K TV, an update for their QX lens camera series, as well as the purported Sony Xperia Z3.
Meanwhile, AndroidOrigin disclosed some latest scoop of what the upcoming Xperia would look like as well as its detailed specs.
The site said that the forthcoming handset would completely arrive in a "redefined" look suggesting that avid users of the line couldn't expect major changes of the design. Although, they added, that it will be slimmer by 7mm with a softer, more rounded sides contrary to their signature "straight edges."
Assumptions further pointed out that Xperia Z3 will don a 5.1 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Mixed rumors suggest that Sony will be upgrading its display features but the website maintains that the manufacturer will still stick to its 1080p technology.Other sources also hinted that the Z3 will run in an Android 4.4.4 KitKat with quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor reported to clock at 2.4 – 2.5 GHz.
Storage-wise, the unit will have a 3GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. It is also said to boast 20.7 MP rear camera and a 2.1 megapixel front snapper.
