Southampton vs. Aston Villa Live Stream: Watch Premier League Soccer

Southampton fans are hoping for a quick turnaround this season having watched their side not come away with even a point in any game so far this season. Aston Villa meanwhile will look to continue their winning form after a good win against Swansea last week.

To make the task more difficult for Southampton they have a string of injuries to compete with, but will be desperate to get their first points of the season today.

The main injury doubts for Saturday's match included Jos Hooiveld, who suffered a calf injury and was forced off early in their last match against Arsenal. While both Steve De Ridder and Jack Cork have both recovered from their injuries they probably will not play today having not trained this past week and will be lacking match fitness.

But with last week's 6-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal, Southampton's return to the Premier League this season is already on the verge of looking and long and difficult task.

Aston Villa look to stay positive this week and build upon their improving performances. Villa manager Paul Lambert could be swayed to give summer signing Christian Benteke a starting place against Southampton. The Belgium international came off the bench to secure the result for his side after putting in the second goal of the match to best Swansea 2-0 last Saturday.

And Villa will surely need all the goal scoring potential they can muster after having scored only four times in their last ten away league matches. But Southampton's creaky defense could be vulnerable as it has allowed 28 shots on goal so far this season, the most in the Premiership.

Coverage for the match starts at 10:00 a.m. EST and can be seen on Fox Soccer Channel or online here.
