Stellar Kart Releases Anticipated Sophomore Album

Arizona-based rock quartet Stellar Kart released to stores yesterday their anticipated sophomore album We Can’t Stand Sitting Down, available on Word Records.

The follow up to the group’s 2005 hit release All Gas. No Brake, which spawned the hit single “Student Driver,” We Can’t Stand Sitting Down has already made waves with critics and radio, with the album’s current single “Me and My Jesus” climbing up the R&R Christian CHR Chart.

About the inspiration behind the title, Adam Agee, singer for the band, explained how Cody Pellerin, guitarist, said “I can’t stand sitting down anymore” when complaining about spending a day sitting down rehearsing.

“After laughing about the statement, we realized that it was a great album title,” said Agee. “It describes perfectly how we feel about our lives. We need to be getting out of our comfort zones, spreading the good news to everyone we can.”

Fans can catch Stellar Kart on the West Coast for the next few weeks with dates set in George, Wash. tomorrow, Midland, Texas on July 29, and Monterey, Calif. on Aug. 4, where the group will be on stage at Spirit West Coast.
