Sugarland Singer Jennifer Nettles Marries Former Model

Sugarland lead singer Jennifer Nettles married her boyfriend of two years, ex-model Justin Miller, in an intimate ceremony in Tennessee last Saturday.

According to People magazine, the 37-year-old country crooner and her beau were married in a chapel located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, joined by a small group of family and friends that included her Sugarland partner, Kristian Bush. This is Nettles’ second marriage after divorcing former music club owner Todd Van Sickle in 2007.

Miller is an entrepreneur who appeared in Sugarland’s 2006 music video for "Want To" and accompanied Nettles to the CMAs earlier this month where the band won an award for vocal duo of the year.

The happy news comes amidst lawsuits recently filed against the band regarding the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair back in August that killed seven people. The National Weather Service issued a warning two hours before rain and strong gusts of wind caused the metal scaffolding to collapse, falling right into the "Sugarpit," a special section in front of the stage that fans can buy tickets into. The freak accident happened just minutes before Sugarland was scheduled to perform.

The largest lawsuit was filed by 44 survivors of the incident, including family members of four people who died, and is seeking unspecified damages from the band. It claims that the band and other parties acted negligently by not canceling the concert due to the weather warnings, as their contract stated they had the final say whether or not to proceed with the performance.

Many plaintiffs are seeking medical compensation for injuries sustained from the accident.

"The injuries I sustained have left me unable to provide for my family," plaintiff Lisa Hite, who was in the Sugarpit with her custodial granddaughter, told the AP. "The financial and emotional strain this has caused has left a lasting impact on my family."
