Switchfoot’s ‘Oh! Gravity’ Continuing Its Popularity

Oh! Gravity, the newest album released by Grammy-winning Switchfoot, has been out for one month, but it continues to gain recognition and positive reviews.

The innovative release has developed a harder rock edge for the bands’ sound and songs which may have led to the persistent popularity.

Besides the album, Switchfoot has also been hard at work, planning for an upcoming 35-city tour in February. They will play with Copeland, who is signed underneath the same music label.

Switchfoot even had a recent performance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” this past Tuesday.

The Oh! Gravity album has been praised by many as Switchfoot’s best work.

“…the best of the San Diego group’s nearly 10-year recording career and a welcome post-holiday present for anyone who appreciates a set of well-crafted, disparate rock,” affirms Billboard.

The album will likely have even more success than their previous release, Nothing Is Sound, which reached the number 3 spot on the Billboard Top 200 best-selling albums chart in September 2005. Switchfoot also gained victory with their major label debut, The Beautiful Letdown, which went double-platinum in 2004.

Their upcoming tour will begin in Anaheim, Calif., on Feb. 13 and end in their home town of San Diego on Feb. 31.
