As for the Penguins, they are hoping that they can steal one away from home as well to regain the home advantage they had.

In Game 1, Tampa Bay overcame serious odds to get the victory. It was a gruelling affair, with multiple players picking up knocks and injuries. However, Tampa Bay endured the biggest one so far as goaltender Ben Bishop went down due to a leg injury.

Fearing the worst, the Lightning still rallied behind their team and produced a great performance en route to a 3-1 victory. Alex Killorn started the scoring for Tampa Bay late in the first period before Ondrej Palat and Jonathan Drouin made it 3-0 by the dying stages of the second period.

Pittsburgh answered back through a late goal in the second period from Patric Honrqvist, but they could not complete the comeback and were down 1-0 in the series.

In the second game, it was a tightly contested battle as both teams scored twice in the first period with the Penguins going up 2-0 after Matt Cullen and Phil Kessel scored within the first 10 minutes of the game.

However, Tampa Bay answered back in the final five minutes of the first period as Anton Stralman and Drouin levelled the game.

Neither team scored in the last two periods to send it to overtime and it was there where Sidney Crosby finally broke his drought and scored the winning goal 40 seconds in to tie the series at 1-1.
