TBN To Air Television Broadcast Premier Of Inpsirational Film 'Joshua' Thanksgiving Day
Paul Crouch Jr., VP of administration for the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), confirmed that the world's most-watched religious network has secured the exclusive rights to the broadcast television premiere of the 2002 inspirational film "Joshua" (Epiphany Films), based on the best-selling 1987 book of the same title by retired Catholic priest Joseph Girzone.
"'Joshua' is the story of a mysterious and charismatic stranger who arrives in a small American rural town and transforms the townspeople through various acts of kindness and down-to-earth spirituality," said Crouch, the eldest son of TBN founders Paul and Jan Crouch.
"It's an incredibly moving motion picture that explores the concept of how our lives would be affected if Jesus walked among us in present day," said Crouch. "'Joshua' at its core is a powerful reminder, a message, of how the 'Word of God' can be applied to our modern daily lives." The motion picture soundtrack features Michael W. Smith and an all-star cast of Christian singers ranging from Jaci Velasquez to Third Day. The movie also plays host to a stellar cast that includes Tony Goldwyn as Joshua, F. Murray Abraham as Father Tardone, Kurt Fuller as Father Pat, Stacy Edwards as Maggie, Colleen Camp as Joan Casey, and Giancarlo Giannini as the Pope.
