Teen Mania Ministries Launches New Record Label

International youth outreach organization Teen Mania Ministries has launched a new record label to develop the next generation of worship musicians and songwriters and to provide its young audience with an "authentic, relevant worship experience."

"Where ever there is a movement of God, there is music," noted Teen Mania President and Founder Ron Luce, who asked himself a couple of years ago what the soundtrack to Teen Mania's movement would look like.

"EE-Taow [Records] gives our young people a means to express themselves and become part of a larger story. It's music by teens for teens," he added.

The label's first singing, rock worship Band Unhindered, will release their national debut album on Oct. 20, 2009 – around three years after Teen Mania called up the group to present the idea of a new label.

"We were really intrigued by that idea and eager to be a part of it," recalled Unhindered guitarist/vocalist Pat Barrett, whose five-man band performed at Teen Mania's 2006 Acquire The Fire event in Seattle.

"We are honored that EE-Taow has entrusted us with being the first to carry out its vision," he added.

Luce, meanwhile, testified to the band's ability to lead their generation and the "real" synergy of their hearts.

"They have been out there building a rapport with our teens, so it seems only natural for them to be the first band signed to our label," the ministry leader stated.

"We're really like family."

Over the past two decades, Teen Mania has held events that have drawn millions of teens in total and taught them how to follow Jesus.

The ministry's mission statement is "To provoke a young generation to passionately pursue Jesus Christ and to take His life-giving message to the ends of the earth!"
